Our team of experienced professionals has a cumulative of 200+ years experience in the public-school sector and is trained to cover any of your district’s Special Education staffing needs. Adapted PE

Debbie grew up in Blooming Grove, Tx. She graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with BSeD in Business Administration and All Level Physical Education. 

She has taught, coached, and worked with campus technology for 29 years at Hudson ISD, Crandall ISD, John Tyler High School, Van ISD, and Palestine ISD. She formally retired from Palestine ISD in 2016.

Stacy Shelton grew up in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1987.

Stacy taught and coached for 35 years, retiring from Mabank ISD (High School and Junior High) in May of 2024, where she taught for 23 years.  

She started teaching special needs students in 2001 at Mabank High School in the area of adapted PE.

In 2012, Stacy started the Partner PE program at Mabank High School. A few years later, she implemented Partner PE at the Junior High. Partner PE is a success-oriented physical education program featuring supervised peer tutors and individualized learning and instruction, and this is one of my greatest APE accomplishments. Stacy has a passion for helping special needs students succeed in physical education. 

ARD Manager

Mandy has been dedicated to the field of special education since 2009, serving in a variety of roles that have deepened both her expertise and passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Her career began as a Paraprofessional, a role she held while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Special Education at Stephen F. Austin State University. This early hands-on experience gave her a solid foundation in working directly with students and collaborating with educators to create supportive learning environments.

After earning her teaching certification, Mandy transitioned into the role of a Special Education Teacher, where she taught inclusion English and Math for students in grades 9 through 12. During her three years in the classroom, she developed and implemented individualized education programs (IEPs), co-taught alongside general education teachers, and provided targeted interventions to help students succeed academically and socially.

In 2020, Mandy accepted a position as a Special Education Case Manager and ARD Facilitator with a virtual school. In this capacity, she has been responsible for managing a caseload of students, leading ARD meetings, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. and coordinating services.

Most recently, she completed a Master of Education in Special Education with a certification as an Educational Diagnostician fro the University of North Texas.

Assistive Technology

Torian Hathaway graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications science and disorders. She is in her 12th year of working in public schools, 10 of which have been specifically with assistive technology. She is currently the Assistive Technology Specialist for Henderson ISD. Prior to that, she was the Assistive Technology Specialist for Boshears Center for Exceptional Programs with Tyler ISD.

Torian has a wide range of knowledge of various assistive technology equipment, devices, strategies, services, and evaluations. She enjoys getting to work closely with students of all impairments and is fluent in communication strategies, programs, and devices as her
educational background is in communication sciences and disorders. Her passion is to help students access their environment while becoming more successful and independent.

Behavior Specialist

Jessica earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Applied Behavior Analysis). She has experience teaching general education, special education K-12, ABA behavior therapy, and serving a school district as a behavior specialist. She has provided training and support for administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Jessica has specific expertise in parent consultation; intensive behavior interventions, conduction Functional Behavior Assessments, creating behavior Intervention Plans and behavior management programs. She is passionate about creating behavior plans and supporting schools on how to implement them, and to take data to make the best decisions for their student’s needs and advocating for them.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband, J.R., and their son Jonathan. Her hobbies include Photography, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and reading.

Bilingual Diagnostician

Cynthia Marquez is passionate about unlocking the potential of every learner. With years of experience as an Educational Diagnostician and a bilingual certified teacher, Cynthia is dedicated to providing individual educational evaluations from the perspective of the Emergent Bilingual learner. As a special educator, Cynthia strives to support students with unique needs.

Balancing her professional life with her role as a mother to two wonderful daughters, and sharing life with her educator husband, Cynthia has a deep understanding of the importance of education in shaping young minds. When she’s not working or spending time with her family, you can find Cynthia relaxing on the porch with sweet tea. 

Bilingual School Psychology

Susanna Knight is a bilingual School Psychologist native of Colombia. She attended West Texas A&M, where she obtained her bachelor’s in psychology and Masters in School Psychology. Susanna has resided in the North Texas area for over 10 years, along with her husband and two children.

Susanna was featured in the Spring of 2021, Texas Association of School Psychologists Newsletter for her work in the community and Social-Emotional Learning. In September of 2021, she was invited to present in the First Annual Statewide Conference on SEL: Rising from Challenges to SELutions, hosted by the Social Emotional Learning Alliance for Texas (SEL4TX).

Susanna’s passion for children and education sparked at an early age.  She values building relationships with families and supporting students. As a professional and as a parent, one of her biggest feelings of gratification come from watching the growth of her students through the years

Bilingual Speech Language Pathology

Lori is a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist who has been practicing in the East Texas area for over 17 years. Although most of her career has been focused on evaluating Spanish-speaking students in the school setting, she has also worked in the pediatric outpatient and home health settings.

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas with a double major in Spanish and Speech Language Pathology, Lori moved to Texas to pursue a M.A. in Spanish Linguistics at UT Austin, where she met her husband and native East Texan, Cole. Following some time traveling and teaching English in Germany, Lori taught Spanish at several colleges and universities in the DFW area while completing a Master’s in Speech-Language Patholog at UT Dallas.

Lori currently lives in Tyler with her husband, 3 children and hound dog Roxie. In her free time, she enjoys paddle boarding, karaoke, yoga and attending her children’s many activities and sporting events.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Gann is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, having earned a degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2013. She has more than 12 years of OT experience ranging from outpatient sports medicine to home health care, and has worked in the school setting since 2023. As the daughter of a 42 year Special Education teacher, and the mother of a child with Autism, Lindy has been surrounded by educators and therapists who have provided critical insight and unwavering support in many aspects of what Special Education entails.

Lindy and her husband Brad have four children and have lived in East Texas for 11 years. Their family advocates for children with special needs and volunteers with groups to raise awareness and acceptance of Autism, mental health challenges, and Dementia. Lindy loves spending time with her family, traveling to Oklahoma to visit family and friends, and trying out new coffee houses.

Diagnosticians

Gina is a retired Texas educator with 33 years of experience in education and special education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Math and a Master of Education degree in Special Education with an Educational Diagnostician certification, both from the University of Texas at Tyler. She also completed coursework through Stephen F. Austin to earn her certification in Principalship in 2010.

Gina began her teaching career at Chapel Hill ISD in 1990, teaching Math at the Middle School level. She also taught Math, Science, and Social Studies at the 3rd and 4th grade levels. Due to a move for her husband’s job, she left Chapel Hill ISD in 2001 and began her educational diagnostician career in Mabank ISD, where she worked from the fall of 2001 to the summer of 2012. In this position, she gained experience in all areas of special education and became very proficient in completing special education evaluations.

Gina transitioned to a job at the Region 7 Education Service Center in Head Start in August 2012. In that position she worked as a Head Start Disabilities Specialist, then Coordinator, to train teachers and support the inclusion of students with educational disabilities in the Region 7 Head Start programs.

In the summer of 2016, Gina became the Special Education Director in Kilgore ISD where she gained valuable experience in the administration of all aspects of the special education program. She completed training for all special education departmental staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals. She also completed all tasks related to the departmental budget including managing the annual special education grant from TEA. She achieved and maintained compliance with all TEA required compliance reviews and monitoring activities. In Kilgore ISD, Gina implemented a program to include students with disabilities in less restrictive settings by developing a co-teach program district wide. She retired from this position in June of 2022, after a career of 32 years.

Gina is a passionate advocate for students with disabilities and will continue working in the area of special education to improve services and outcomes for special education students by training/completing thorough special education evaluations as well as providing training, consultation, and support to administrators, teachers, parents, and students.

Mindy Burris is a former Special Education teacher turned Educational Diagnostician for the past 12 years. She has worked in public education since 2002.  As a parent of a child with special needs, Mindy is passionate to make a difference advocating for students with unique abilities.

When not working, Mindy enjoys spending time with her three kids & husband and watching reality TV.

Amanda has been working in the field of public education since 2001.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Child Development and Learning with a concentration in Reading from Angelo State University.  In 2015 Amanda completed her first Master’s degree in Reading at The University of Texas at Tyler.  She became a certified Reading Specialist and Master Reading Teacher.  Amanda obtained her second Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Tyler in Special Education with certification as an Educational Diagnostician in 2020.  

Amanda began her teaching career as a 3rd grade general education teacher.  After moving to Louisiana, she began working with special education students as a Co-Teacher in a 5th grade classroom.  As her family returned to Texas, Amanda then transitioned to teaching Life Skills grades 5-8 for three years, Resource Reading grades 3-4 for three years, and GT for one year. She is trained in the Reading By Design Dyslexia curriculum and provided Dyslexia interventions to students in 7th and 8th grade.

Carrie began her career in education in 2001 as a teacher/coach. She taught special education and coached a variety of sports for eight years. Carrie then obtained her master’s degree in 2007, after which she worked as a special education director/ed diagnostician in a rural school district. Throughout her career, she has served students as a diagnostician with a multi-district co-op and single districts at all grade levels.

Her passion is to help understand how each child learns differently through evaluations. She is married to her best friend, Zack. They have two amazing daughters, Kai and Bodie, who keep them busy with show steers, volleyball, softball, track, and basketball.

Morgan began her career in education in 2005. Over the years, she has taught both general education and special education. While working in special education for a multi-district co-op, she earned her master’s degree in 2023. Currently, she serves as an Educational Diagnostician
at the same multi-district co-op, where she is dedicated to supporting special education students.

When she’s not working, Morgan loves spending time with her family. She enjoys hunting and golfing in her spare time. Morgan is married to her best friend, Tony, and together they have two biological children and four bonus children. She is passionate about her career and committed to serving the special education population.

Tracy Smith has dedicated over two decades of service to the public education system. Tracy has served as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician, and special education director.

Tracy has a passion for learning. She recently earned a Juris Doctor degree from The Southern University Law Center. Tracy also earned a Master of Education Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Texas – Tyler.

Tracy is a nationally certified autism specialist and has extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Tracy holds Texas Educator Certificates in the following areas: Principal, Educational Diagnostician, Generic Special Education, Elementary Self-Contained, Elementary Reading, and Elementary English. Tracy also holds an Educational Leader Level 2 Certificate from the State of Louisiana.

Licensed Professional Counseler (LPC)

Elizabeth Tann Frisby, Ed.D., LPC-S, joins the Logical Sped team as a special education counselor. She has worked in special education for 20 years acting as a counselor and behavior specialist. Elizabeth’s work within the school setting focuses on children on the Autism Spectrum, children identified as qualifying with Emotional Disturbance, or children qualifying as Other Health Impaired. 

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, reading, working with horses and any kind of water sport.

Leigh Hines, M.A, LPC-S, LCDC, joins the Logical Sped team as a special education counselor. She has worked in and around educational settings for 10 years. Leigh’s work within the school setting focuses on children with a variety of mental health needs, including those qualifying with Emotional Disturbance, in addition to encompassing those on the Autism Spectrum.

Jackie Winton, MS, LPC, joins the Logical Sped team as a special education counselor. She has worked in a school setting for 40+ years. Jackie spent 35 of these years as a school counselor and special education counselor. Her focus is on students with anxiety, autism, and emotional disturbance. In her spare time, Jackie loves spending time with her family and friends, baking and gardening!

Occupational Therapy

Chelsea has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 2009 and has worked in the school setting since 2014.  She is passionate about helping students achieve their maximum potential with functional performance.

Brandi Little, OTR is an experienced Occupational Therapist dedicated to supporting students’ participation and functional success in the school environment.

She graduated from Texas Woman’s University School of Occupational Therapy, is nationally registered, and has 27 years of experience in Texas schools working with children who have special needs in areas such as fine motor development, sensory processing, visual motor integration, physical disability. Along with evaluating children to determine their need for Occupational Therapy as an educational related service and providing OT services in schools, she supervises certified OT assistants and collaborates with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective strategies to help students reach their full potential in school.

Kristin is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with extensive experience, especially in pediatrics, and has been practicing since 1998 after earning her degree from Texas Woman’s University. Over the years, she has worked in various settings, including hospitals, private clinics, Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), and schools. She has developed specialized skills working with babies diagnosed with torticollis and plagiocephaly and has experience creating corrective helmets.

Kristin strongly believes in fostering both academic and functional skills, alongside the activity of play, to help children thrive and feel confident in their lives. She values the importance of supporting children in feeling cherished and successful, which aligns with her holistic approach to therapy.

Outside of her professional life, Kristin has been happily married to Spencer for 21 years, and they have two sons, Jonah, aged 15, and Jackson, aged 18. Her family is central to her life, and she enjoys supporting them by watching them play lacrosse, as well as cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Texas A&M Aggies (a
loyalty she gained through marriage).

Kristin also maintains a well-rounded lifestyle, engaging in activities such as Hotworx (yoga and pilates), crafting, paddleboarding, pickleball, cooking, reading, and listening to audiobooks. These hobbies help her balance a busy professional life with personal interests and family time.

Physical Therapy

Laura Viergever Blair graduated from Whitehouse High School and then lived the dream of being a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette. She later graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with her Bachelor Degree in Exercise Sports Science with an emphasis on Pre-Physical Therapy. She also met her husband, Haydon, while at Texas State.

Laura then attended Kilgore College Physical Therapist Assistant program from 2012-2014, always knowing her heart was in pediatrics. Haydon and Laura lived in Garland and Plano for a few years where she began her career providing physical therapy to children in clinic and home health settings. She has furthered her education with courses and certifications in clinical instruction, kinesio taping, sensory and behavior strategies.

Eventually God led Haydon and Laura back to East Texas to be close to their families. Now that their roots are deep they have two precious boys, Bowen and Asher. She also serves as co-founder and director of Harmony Dance Team, a non-profit dance team for school aged
children of ALL-abilities.

Ashley is a PT Assistant who has practiced pediatric physical therapy for over fifteen years in various settings. Her professional experiences include pediatric home health, clinic, early childhood intervention (ECI), and school-based therapy.

She earned a Certificate of Completion in MNRI Dynamic & Postural Reflex Integration. This training has broadened her knowledge regarding how motor reflexes and patterns challenge children’s sensory systems and the importance of integrating these movements. After completing this specialized training, she has been able better incorporate the MNRI protocol for the pediatric population.

She has a passion for working with children and has dedicated years of service to the PT profession helping children overcome obstacles and reach their greatest potential. She believes successful therapy is achieved by working closely with children’s families and other professionals involved in their care. She loves watching children grow and learn in an environment like “play” versus work. Believing those moments are much more rewarding than milestones.

Ashley adds she has been married to her husband for 15 years, and they have three wonderful children. She enjoys cheering them on at their various sporting events and special activities in her free time.

Angela Hullum is the owner of Logical Business Inc. Special Education Solutions. She has worked in Texas public schools for over 30 years as a contract physical therapy provider.

Angela graduated from Amarillo College in 1984 with an Associate Degree in physical therapy, and from St. Catherine University with her Bachelor’s in physical therapy. She is licensed in the state of Texas as a Physical Therapy Assistant.

She provides both direct and consult services to students under the supervision of a master or doctorate degree PT. She was recently accepted into the MAOL (Master of Organizational Leadership) at St. Catherine University.

Stacy Kirby is licensed in the state of Texas as a PT. She holds a master’s degree in physical therapy from West Virginia University. She has over twenty years of experience in both geriatric and pediatric population. Stacy evaluates, develops goals & objectives, and assists with equipment needs for students as it pertains to the educational environment. She provides the needed supervision of PTAs to ensure state compliance with the Texas PT board.

Jeff is an experienced clinician who holds a Master’s of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University.

He has worked in a variety of adult and pediatric settings and is licensed in the
state of Texas as a PT. Jeff was invited to participate in a clinical affiliation in pediatrics at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His career led him to a position as lead therapist at a special needs school where he oversaw the construction of an all inclusive playground and sensory therapy classroom. Jeff excelled as a manager at a pediatric therapy company. He will continue to utilize his skills to supervise PTAs to ensure state compliance with the Texas PT board.

His personal life centers around his Church, three adult children, and three grandchildren. Jeff enjoys bass fishing, coaching basketball, golf, gourmet cooking, and performing in the TJC Nutcracker!

Katie graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2009 with a degree in General Studies. She went on to study physical therapy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. Katie has been working in pediatrics since that time in a variety of settings. She has also lead therapy groups to work in a special needs preschool in Honduras and lead a team to design and construct an all inclusive playground at the school. Katie has a passion for working with kids of all ages to help them reach their individual goals. 

Katie was born in Tyler, but mostly grew up in Allen, TX. She met her husband in college and they moved back to Tyler in 2013 after grad school. Katie and her husband have two children and have recently opened their home as foster parents. In her spare time, Katie enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, attending church events, and reading.

School Psychology

Kaela Brewington-Maclin is a fully licensed School Psychologist who recently earned her Master’s in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University.

With seven years of experience supporting students across diverse educational settings, her background includes roles as a High School Special Education Case Manager, Resource Teacher at both primary and secondary levels, Behavior Coordinator, Middle School and High School Athletic Coach, and Special Education Counselor with a specialization in social skills, giving her a well-rounded perspective on student needs. Kaela’s work focuses on psychological assessment, counseling, behavior intervention, and individualized education planning. She values collaboration with families, school teams, and community partners, and is committed to developing practical, effective strategies that promote both academic achievement and social-emotional well-being. Known for her organization, clear communication, and student-centered approach, Kaela works to create supportive environments where all learners can thrive.

Rachel Ford is a dedicated and highly experienced School Psychologist with over 14 years of service in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to support the mental health, academic achievement, and social development of students across various educational settings. She has experience working with students of all ages (as young as 18 months up through young adulthood) from various demographics. 

Rachel holds several advanced degrees including a Specialist in School Psychology degree, a Master of Science degree in School Psychology, Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Applied Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. She is also recognized as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. With that she brings a deep understanding of both the psychological and educational needs of children and adolescents. 

Outside of her professional work, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends and working with clients in her professional organizing business in the East Texas area. She and her husband Trai have been married for 16 years. They reside in Bullard, TX and have two wonderful children who both attend school at Bullard ISD and are very active in sports, extracurricular activities, and the community.

Katie Ross is a practicing school psychologist in the East Texas area. She holds an Education Specialist Degree and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from Chapman University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Adolescent Studies from California State University of Fullerton.

With ten years of experience as a school psychologist and over sixteen years in education, Katie is devoted to enriching the overall development and well being of all students. She has experience as a preschool teacher, one-on-one paraprofessional with children ages 3-21, and an ABA therapist working directly with students with Autism.

With experience as a school psychologist in both larger suburb communities and in smaller rural communities; from within a co-op setting to individual districts, Katie comes with a breadth of knowledge of how to work in partnership with districts utilizing their unique resources to support their individual campus structure. She believes that empowering teachers & campus staff through collaboration and hands on training is essential to the success of all students. Her personal approach finds her easy to work with and accepted by school staff members. 

Julie Smith was born in East Texas and raised by educators, so working in education was a natural career choice for her. She has practiced school psychology in the East Texas area for over 20 years. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Baylor University in 1997, and she earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with a Specialization in School Psychology from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2001. Julie loves working with students and helping them succeed. She is passionate about providing exceptional evaluations that drive purposeful and effective educational programming. 

Jodi entered the education scene in 2001 as a paraprofessional and knew this was where she belonged. In 2008 she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. From there she obtained her teaching certificate and taught Special Education for 7 years before earning a Master’s of Science degree  in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology. She obtained her LSSP in 2018. Ever since, Jodi has been conducting psychological and educational evaluations, providing support for students, as well as school staff, through trainings and direct services such as behavior supports and counseling services. Jodi also provides functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention plans. Jodi loves to collaborate with students, parents and school districts across East Texas to achieve the best results for every child that she can in helping them to become the best versions of themselves possible. 

Dr. Willis comes to Logical Business with 28 years in public and higher education. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, a Master of Science in Psychology and is a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with the state of Texas. In addition, she has a Master of Education focusing on Special Education with a current Educational Diagnostician and Autism Specialist Certification.

She currently serves on theTCASE board of directors and is an Adjunct Professor with the University of Oklahoma, Lehigh University, Liberty University. She has taught undergraduate classes at both Tyler Junior College and Texas A & M-Commerce in assessment and special education.

Speech Language Pathology

Heather Chamness is a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist, currently serving as a Supervising Therapist for Logical Business Inc. Special Education Solutions at Grand Saline ISD.  With a diverse background in various healthcare and educational settings, Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Heather’s professional journey began in 2001, and since then, she has held various positions, including Speech Language Pathologist for KidsCare Home Health, At Home Healthcare, and contract Speech Pathologist for a variety of school districts and a full time therapist of Van ISD for 10 years.  Her extensive experience in hospitals, rehab centers, nursing homes, home health, and schools has allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the field.

Heather holds a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is also certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has obtained Vital Stim certification. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is evident through her ABA training and continuous pursuit of knowledge in her field.

One of Heather’s notable achievements includes being recognized as the top graduating senior at Stephen F Austin State University, where she maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. This exceptional academic performance showcases her dedication and passion for her work.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Heather is also the owner of a Faith-based CrossFit Gym called CrossFit 2819 Mission she runs outside of school hours.  Her personal interests in nutrition and health align with her commitment to helping others lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

With a proven track record of delivering exceptional speech therapy services and a genuine passion for her field, Heather Chamness is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of her clients.

Amie Dean graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Baylor University with a Master of Science in Communication Disorders. Over the last 20 years, Amie has had the pleasure of working many children diagnosing and treating disorders related to cleft lip/palate, language disorders, autism, speech disorders, feeding aversion, pragmatic language disorders in pre-school and school-aged children, deaf and hard of hearing, and stuttering. Amie has been in both the private practice and school setting in her 23 years as a speech-language pathologist. She loves working with children and seeing them make progress. From taking a first bite of food, saying a first sound, word, making a connection and seeing the light bulb come on, gets her so excited for both the child and the family.

Amie has been married to her husband, Trace, for 12 years. They have two boys, Garrett and Cullen. They moved to East Texas from Sugar Land 6 years ago and love it here. They attend Flint Baptist Church and have been active members for 5 years. Their boys attend school in Bullard ISD and keep them busy with all the sports; football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Being boys, they love to be outdoors to hunt and fish. As a family we love to travel to places like Colorado, New Mexico, and most recently Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Mount Rushmore.

Calli Fetterman joins the Logical sped team as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist by the Board of Texas and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has been a resident of Athens, Texas since childhood and is excited to be able to service students in the academic setting in and around the Henderson County area.

Calli attended West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. She attended Eastern New Mexico University, where she completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Calli’s practicum experiences in graduate school included acute care, inpatient/outpatient rehab, early intervention, university clinic, Anderson co. co-op for school setting, and a skilled nursing facility.

During her professional career, Calli has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. She also has gained experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including schools, daycares, skilled nursing facilities and homes.

Stephanie has lived in East Texas for 28 years and has been working as a speech language pathologist for 13 years. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2008 and graduated with a masters degree in Communication Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2010. She has a large family that includes seven children and loves working with the pediatric population.

Stephanie’s clinical experience includes working in school districts, home health care, NICU, teletherapy, and private clinic settings. She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of speech and language disorders including: autism spectrum disorder, non-verbal communication, articulation disorders, expressive / receptive language disorders, apraxia / motor planning disorders, dysarthria, feeding disorders, and a variety of genetic disorders / medical conditions. She has completed PECS training (Picture Exchange Communication System) with Pyramid Educational Consultants and has also completed training with the Bilinguistics speech therapy clinic in Austin, Tx to
improve evaluation and therapy skills for students who speak English as a second language.

Stephanie is currently a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Texas Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (TSHA).

Lisa graduated in 1982 from TCU with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and a teaching certificate in Speech Therapy. She has over 35 years experience working in the public schools in the East Texas area, serving students with speech difficulties. She has dedicated her professional life to delivering the highest quality services to students between the ages of 3 and 21 years.

Dianne received her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Texas at El Paso.  She also holds the American Speech and Hearing Associations Certificate of Clinical Competency.  Over 25 years, she has worked in a variety of settings including Early Childhood Intervention, home health, private clinical settings, and public schools.  During this time, Dianne has developed experience in articulation, phonological disorders, autism, receptive and expressive language, assistive technology and fluency.  

Dianne also has a Texas teaching certificate.  She has taught Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities and Pre-Kindergarten.  As a teacher, she has been able to focus on the whole child and the relationships interacting in the child’s growth and development.  Collaboration is key when developing activities and programs for children with more complex issues. 

Spending time with family and traveling are some of her favorite things.  She has 5 children and 8 granddaughters who are the loves of her life.  Traveling has provided wonderful opportunities to witness new cultures, languages and communication styles of people around the world.

Erin Scarber received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2014 and graduated with her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2017.  

Erin holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and is a member of the Texas Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (TSHA), and The American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She enjoys continuing education and is a member of the ASHA special interest groups of speech science and school-based issues. 

She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of speech and language disorders through practicum and professional experiences. Erin’s practicum experiences in graduate school included acute care, outpatient rehab, university clinic, public school setting, and skilled nursing facilities. Her professional experience includes private practice, home health, and a variety of roles and responsibilities in the public-school setting. 

Erin has been a resident of Shelby County since childhood. She has proudly served the pediatric population in Shelby County, Rusk County, and Panola County. In her free time Erin enjoys traveling, reading, and being with her husband and three children, daughter, Aubree, and two sons, Eli and Evan. She loves serving the pediatric population in the academic setting.

Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Meaghan was born and raised in wills point, where she graduated from Wills Point High School in 2020. She then attended SFASU and became a member of Delta Zeta sorority and a member of NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.) Meaghan graduated from SFASU in the spring of 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been a practicing SLP-A for the past two years in public schools and has recently been accepted into a graduate program to earn her Masters in Speech Language Pathology at West Coast University.

In her free time Meaghan obsesses over her cocker spaniel, Beau, and enjoy iced coffee with a good book!

Training and Compliance Reviews

Gina is a retired Texas educator with 33 years of experience in education and special education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Math and a Master of Education degree in Special Education with an Educational Diagnostician certification, both from the University of Texas at Tyler. She also completed coursework through Stephen F. Austin to earn her certification in Principalship in 2010.

Gina began her teaching career at Chapel Hill ISD in 1990, teaching Math at the Middle School level. She also taught Math, Science, and Social Studies at the 3rd and 4th grade levels. Due to a move for her husband’s job, she left Chapel Hill ISD in 2001 and began her educational diagnostician career in Mabank ISD, where she worked from the fall of 2001 to the summer of 2012. In this position, she gained experience in all areas of special education and became very proficient in completing special education evaluations.

Gina transitioned to a job at the Region 7 Education Service Center in Head Start in August 2012. In that position she worked as a Head Start Disabilities Specialist, then Coordinator, to train teachers and support the inclusion of students with educational disabilities in the Region 7 Head Start programs.

In the summer of 2016, Gina became the Special Education Director in Kilgore ISD where she gained valuable experience in the administration of all aspects of the special education program. She completed training for all special education departmental staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals. She also completed all tasks related to the departmental budget including managing the annual special education grant from TEA. She achieved and maintained compliance with all TEA required compliance reviews and monitoring activities. In Kilgore ISD, Gina implemented a program to include students with disabilities in less restrictive settings by developing a co-teach program district wide. She retired from this position in June of 2022, after a career of 32 years.

Gina is a passionate advocate for students with disabilities and will continue working in the area of special education to improve services and outcomes for special education students by training/completing thorough special education evaluations as well as providing training, consultation, and support to administrators, teachers, parents, and students.

Tracy Smith has dedicated over two decades of service to the public education system. Tracy has served as a special education teacher, educational diagnostician, and special education director.

Tracy has a passion for learning. She recently earned a Juris Doctor degree from The Southern University Law Center. Tracy also earned a Master of Education Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Texas – Tyler.

Tracy is a nationally certified autism specialist and has extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Tracy holds Texas Educator Certificates in the following areas: Principal, Educational Diagnostician, Generic Special Education, Elementary Self-Contained, Elementary Reading, and Elementary English. Tracy also holds an Educational Leader Level 2 Certificate from the State of Louisiana.
